Netflix needs no introduction. They are the kings of streaming video and powerful search interface. However, not many viewers understand how to use all the features of their interface and why they make changes to their services. More importantly, there is no human contact through the Netflix interface. So, Still N Motion took the lead to show the human side of Netflix. We wanted to demonstrate the passion, commitment and vision of the Netflix people.
We created six sets of videos; Quick Guide, My List, Netflix on TV, Windows 8, Interface, and iPad, explaining the what, why and how of their interface and services. It was an opportunity for Still N Motion to introduce the Netflix staff and kick off a more personal “How to” marketing campaign.
We worked very closely with a large group of employees to perfect their ability to deliver their message clearly and effectively with strong personality. Tight collaboration with the Netflix Marketing team created an accurate design that met all the Netflix branding guidelines. Each series was shot in a custom fabricated studio in a large conference room at Netflix headquarters to assure the highest efficiency with full studio quality. This large two year campaign included conceptualization and full production execution by the Still N Motion team.

The portable studio setup at Netflix was a multi-camera configuration with a 9′ x 35′ seamless. This background had to be perfectly lit and the lighting had to be independent of the talent to assure good acutance (edge sharpness in the talent) while maintaining on screen monitors and TV displays without spill and reflection.
